SPITI MOUNTAIN VOYAGE-BHABA PASS TREK
Join us for one of the world’s great mountain journeys crossing the Great Himalayan Range from Kinnaru to Spiti over Bahba pass, ancient trade route from Spiti to Kinnaur.
Trek, through the lush green Bahba valley, offering magnificent views, rare Himalayan flora and fauna. En-route enjoy the stunning views of many neighboring peaks in Pin valley national park. Spiti valley has some highest “trekking” peaks in the region, with dozens of 5500m summits.
After the trek, drive and hike to explore the ancient monasteries of Spiti valley (immortalized in Kipling’s novel “Kim”). Finally, drive over Kunzum pass, the highest motorable pass in Himachal Pradesh to reach Manali.
The expedition is adventurous and traverses some very remote country. However, technical difficulties are modest and the trip is recommended to fit mountain trekkers and mountaineers who have had some experience of snow terrain, and have preferably already trekked to altitudes of 3000m. The voyage is a great objective for a first visit to the Himalaya.
“A truly memorable trip. It proved to be everything as promised – spectacular landscapes, unforgettable jeep journeys and superb trekking, with extraordinary camping experience.”
